Honda Launches Alternative Fuel 2014 Civics
The 2014 Honda Civic is already a well-loved vehicle here at Central Illinois Honda Dealers, but one of the things we really adore about this famous small car is the options it gives drivers. Honda has just announced that you’ll soon have more choices available too: two alternative fuel powertrains.
The Civic Natural Gas was already a popular vehicle for the 2012 model year, and Honda is bringing this vehicle back for 2014. And of course you’ve probably already heard about the 2014 Honda Civic Hybrid, right?
The Civic Hybrid
The 2014 Civic Hybrid takes everything drivers love about the Civic—affordability, modern equipment, comfort, and style—and drops a hybrid gasoline-electric engine under the hood. EPA-estimated fuel economy on the Civic Hybrid Sedan with CVT is 47 mpg on the highway, 44 mpg in the city, and 45 mpg combined.*
As if the Civic weren’t already impressive enough, those fuel economy numbers mean savings at the pump, and we can get behind that.
The Civic Natural Gas
Drivers looking to cut gasoline from their life altogether have been looking at natural gas-powered vehicles for a while, and the Civic Natural Gas (or Civic NG) has done the job since 2012. Receiving an update for 2014, the Civic NG with five-speed automatic continues to offer drivers an EPA-estimated 38 mpge highway fuel economy,* making it pretty easy to justify the switch from gasoline to natural gas.
As with the Civic Hybrid, the Civic NG is still one of the best equipped vehicles in its class, illustrating further just how much drivers can get out of a Civic.
