2015 Ford Fusion vs. 2015 Honda Accord
Central Illinois Drivers Shopping for a 2015 Ford Fusion…
The 2015 Ford Fusion is available in Central Illinois, and drivers seeking a new family sedan with a nice selection of upgrade options could have found their next car. Features like Ford’s Sync and MyFord Touch let the high-end Fusion Titanium trim compete against some of the better cars in the mid-size sedan class, but the basic Fusion S is much less practical and much more barren of features. Standard features on the Ford Fusion S are limited to power accessories, air conditioning, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, and a rearview camera. Ford has managed to give the Fusion a decent fuel economy on its basic engine, though: 34 highway and 22 city mpg.
The 2015 Fusion is far from a bad choice, but we think Central Illinois drivers can do better. You deserve a vehicle that was named to the Car and Driver 10Best list (a record 29 times, in fact), and that car is the 2015 Honda Accord.* Why don’t we begin with the fuel economy: The 2015 Accord LX with CVT earns an EPA-estimated 36 highway mpg and 27 city mpg,** placing it well beyond the reach of the Fusion on fuel efficiency. But that’s just the start of it; the Accord’s entry-level LX trim features dual-zone climate control, Honda’s exclusive 8-inch touchscreen interface, Bluetooth HandsFreeLink for phone and audio, a rearview camera, and more. Ford does make available many similar features, they require upgrades to put the Fusion on the same level as the Accord LX.
